The Russell Police Department exists to serve the community by protecting life and property, preventing crime, enforcing law, and maintaining order for all citizens and visitors.

We require the highest standards of integrity and professionalism from our officers in the performance of their duties. We are acknowledgeable of and uphold the principles of the Constitution of the United States. the laws of the Commonwealth of Kentucky, and local laws. The rights of all citizens are respected and protected, and we enforce the law fairly and without favoritism.

In order to foster a healthy partnership with the community, open and honest communication with the citizens we serve shall be maintained.
